you always had a knack for action scenes
you always had a knack for action scenes
you'll find it easier and much better looking to draw characters not facing the camera
Edit reply; You can still face the audience, just not straight-up the camera. Plus, the eyes are closed on this one
Edit Edit: All I was trying to say is that quite literally moving the face to look even 5 or 10 degrees to either side would make it look more natural .-. but like, ok I'm just gonna throw my hands off your artwork. You do what makes you happy
Not in this case. I'd weighed the pros and cons of having someone looking away versus someone not. With Tempus Imperfectum, I wanted "me" to face the audience, passionate and trembling, but still trying to sing and play.
I am also a drummer and a performing artist, so there is a vulnerability there -- I'm drawing the kind of expression and performance that I hope may be warmly received one day.
Editing in response: Among us musicians, when we do that, there's a lack of confidence. That's not what I'm trying to show -- and that's what we're often advised against.
I want people to see me, eyes closed (as I sometimes do when I play drums), doing my utmost to face them, that they know that even if it's hard for me, I am sharing it with them, this powerful thing that I would otherwise be afraid to share. It'll break sweats, and the tension will be very palpable. But I want them to see every movement of my lips, every expression. I don't want to hide it by turning away.
You're so buff and strong, man. How many girls have you been with?
Johnny Bravo:
impressive anatomy, and drawing 3 characters couldn't have been easy.
shading could still use more work, but great nonetheless.
working on a fan-art soon too
gonna try drawing the oc of all my dear friends
(p.s, Momori's looks sick wth)
big man need big hammer
word!
Magnificent. You put the main treat in the center, and let our eyes later calmly explore the rest to find a man hiding behind a tree. Good usage of oranges with purples and blues
My critique is that some areas feel flat, especially the left-side tree as opposed to the right-side tree which has a more clear shape to it
according to the tag, a lot of people never drew bbq ena lol
Really? Ah lmao.
do you use references for those expressions? they're always spot-on I swear xD
No references
I just keep drawing a face until I like it lol
the hair stands out a lot since it's the only one with lighting, but in a nice way? I rly like how clean it is
When I was looking at some references, most characters had highlights to their hair and no really shading to the body. I was struggling to get this right for a while but I’m happy with the results after I manage to work it into Moxxys messy hairstyle. I’m glad you like it!
I like drawing things
