feels like there's too much forehead
Honestly, I noticed that earlier and didn't really like it. I tired to re-edit it to make it look a bit normal? Hopefully it's more natural or something.
Femotrat is checking Demotrat out *wriggles eyebrows furiously*

I mean-
masochism prevents ever truely losing by turning getting hurt into a positive state thus making it an optimal strategy
sharp guy need. . . yeah I got nothing this time. Looks outstanding aside from the statue's legs (I can't tell the material whereas everything else is clear)
Yeah, I struggled with the legs ALOT , spent more time on it than I should
you'll find it easier and much better looking to draw characters not facing the camera
Edit reply; You can still face the audience, just not straight-up the camera. Plus, the eyes are closed on this one
Edit Edit: All I was trying to say is that quite literally moving the face to look even 5 or 10 degrees to either side would make it look more natural .-. but like, ok I'm just gonna throw my hands off your artwork. You do what makes you happy
Not in this case. I'd weighed the pros and cons of having someone looking away versus someone not. With Tempus Imperfectum, I wanted "me" to face the audience, passionate and trembling, but still trying to sing and play.
I am also a drummer and a performing artist, so there is a vulnerability there -- I'm drawing the kind of expression and performance that I hope may be warmly received one day.
Editing in response: Among us musicians, when we do that, there's a lack of confidence. That's not what I'm trying to show -- and that's what we're often advised against.
I want people to see me, eyes closed (as I sometimes do when I play drums), doing my utmost to face them, that they know that even if it's hard for me, I am sharing it with them, this powerful thing that I would otherwise be afraid to share. It'll break sweats, and the tension will be very palpable. But I want them to see every movement of my lips, every expression. I don't want to hide it by turning away.
big man need big hammer
